Background

In the Catholic faith, praying to Mary is not about worship—it’s about love and trust. Just as we turn to our own mothers for comfort and help, we turn to Mary when we feel unworthy, lost, or spiritually weak. She is the Mother given to us by Christ Himself, our gentle intercessor who brings our prayers before her Son with a mother’s compassion. When we ask Mary to pray for us, we are asking the one who knows the heart of Jesus most intimately to stand beside us, to lift our needs higher than we could on our own, and to remind us that no one who seeks mercy is ever beyond God’s reach.

Inspiration for Song

Christ loved his mother.  He was very protective of her.  People often do not understand that when we pray to Mary, we are not praying to a God.  She is not God.  But she is beloved by God and adored as a real mother, by Christ himself.  So when you feel like you can not pray, your heart is not into prayer, invoking Mary to pray for you and your intentions, invokes the most beloved all all God’s creation, to kneel before her son, with your intentions on her lips.  Asking for you.  Interceding for you.  Christ, being the perfect son, will always hear his Mother’s requests!  This is why we pray to her.  To Bring you closer to Christ’s Throne.

Song / Prayer Lyrics

I’ve walked through shadows I built on my own,
Hiding from God’s grace, I’m afraid to come home.
But You, Mother of my Lord, see the child beneath all my scars
and whisper, “My child, He still knows who you are.”

When I cannot lift my eyes to His throne,
Feeling ashamed of things I have done,
You open your arms — I’m never alone.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I fear His gaze, for I’ve fallen too deep,
But you kneel beside me, where mercy still weeps.
You cradle the weary who dare not draw near,
And carry our prayers through this veil of fear.

When guilt has chained my trembling heart,
And shame has torn my name apart,
You take my hand, and softly say,
“Come, child, He loves you anyway.”
You speak for those too broken to speak,
You lift our faces, so Heaven can meet.
Through your love, the lost are restored —
Mother of mercy, lead us to the Lord.

Behold your children, afraid but reaching,
Needing your comfort, your gentle teaching.
Through you we find the courage to see —
That Christ still calls, even me.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

When words won’t come and hearts are weak,
Let your prayer be the voice we seek.
Mother of mercy, guide us home,
To the arms of your loving Son, and the light of His throne.
